Polymeric Materials

Research

A core research area of the Polymer group resides in the utilization and valorization of renewable resources for the development of novel bio-based polymers, chemicals and composites. To accomplish this, a threefold research program is underway involving:

  • Synthesis of novel polymers from renewable feedstocks
  • Development of new processing technologies for such bio-based materials
  • Evaluate potential applications and performance of these novel biobased materials
